At Abdoney Orthodontics, our professional team has been carefully trained to serve and care for you. Many of our staff members have been with us for over 15 years. Each member of our team is dedicated to your health and well-being, and most of all, they are dedicated to making you smile.

Kristi - Front Desk Coordinator

Kristi's happy smile is one of the first smile's you see when you enter our practice. Working the front desk, Kristi will be able to help you schedule your appointments, reschedule appointments, and gladly answer any questions you might have. Kristi enjoys working in orthodontics, and looks forward to talking with our patients and learning about what they like, their goals, and hearing how excited they are about their orthodontic treatment. She also enjoys the fun things we do at our practice, like having contests and giving out cool prizes.

Outside of the practice, Kristi enjoys traveling.  She and her husband, Steve, were married in Las Vegas by an Elvis impersonator! They have one dog, Greta the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, and they enjoy taking her to the dog beach.

Gay - Treatment Coordinator

One of our treatment coordinators, Gay is a wonderful team member whose friendly smile and caring personality makes patients feel welcome and comfortable when visiting our practice. Gay enjoys working with Dr. Abdoney and the team, and enjoys coming to work each day and being around the wonderful smiles that she gets to work with.

Gay and her husband, Louis, have five children and ten grandchildren. When she's not at the practice, Gay enjoys spending time with her family and dancing.

Jessica - Treatment Coordinator

Jessica is also one of our treatment coordinators. She helps explain each treatment plan to our patients and their parents. She enjoys working with the patients and families who come to our practice, and providing a friendly, positive, up-beat office environment while encouraging our patients and making each person feel good about themselves.

Jessica and her husband, Scott, have one daughter named Kylie and a pet dog named Kehoe. When she's not at the practice making our patients smile, Jessica enjoys shopping with her daughter, dining out with friends, and spending time with her family. She is a big sports fan, especially when it comes to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (football), Tony Stewart (NASCAR), and the Tampa Bay Rays (baseball).

Phyllis - Lab Tech

Phyllis has been with our team for many years. She started working for Dr. Michael Abdoney Sr. right after graduating from high school, and has stayed with the practice ever since. Phyllis is a wonderful lab technician. She works hard to make sure that each appliance is crafted with special attention to detail and is designed to help the patient achieve the exact smile he/she wants.

Phyllis loves being outdoors! She used to give horse-riding lessons to children, as well as teaching barrel racing. Phyllis also likes to go fishing, and still loves being around horses. She and her husband, Tony, have one dog, named Riley.

Tipsy - Clinical Coordinator

Tipsy loves getting to see all of the new smiles that come through our doors; and as our clinical coordinator, she also enjoys getting to know our patients, and doing what she can to make sure that each person who comes to our practice is comfortable and has a positive experience.

Tipsy and her husband, Dave, have one daughter, Chelsey, who is in college, and two fat cats named Bubba and Sweetie. In her free time, Tipsy enjoys going shopping and gardening.

Carie - Accounts Manager/Marketing

Carie, a Tampa native, is the accounts manager and marketing contact for our practice. She enjoys working with patients and helping them establish a financial plan that meets their needs. She is knowledgeable and always willing to answer any questions that you might have, and loves to promote our practice within the community at various events.

In her spare time, Carie loves to design poetic invitations, step out for country line dancing, or relax at the beach. She and her husband Mark have four daughters, Rainee, Gabbie, Sofiia, and Emalee.

Lynda - Assistant

Lynda is one of our orthodontic assistants. She enjoys caring for our patients, and always does so with a warm, friendly smile on her face. Lynda treats her patients with kindness and respect, and always makes sure that all of their questions are answered. She enjoys working with the doctors as well, and truly respects the level of care they offer their patients.

Lynda is married, has one son, one daughter and a pet dog. When she's not busy at work, she's busy at home spending time with her family.

Paul - Assistant

Paul is a wonderful orthodontic assistant. He genuinely enjoys what he does and is always able to make his patients smile with his sense of humor and kind smile. Paul treats his patients like he would his own family, and always makes sure that they have fun visiting our practice. Paul makes sure that when you visit our practice, you laugh, have fun, and leave with a beautiful smile!

Outside of the practice, Paul and his wife, Anna, have a full house with two daughters, Jaid and Jordan, three dogs, Nippi, Dixie, and Chili, and a rabbit, named Peanut. In his free time, Paul enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, and outdoor sports. He is also a part-time comedian.

Ellen - Assistant

Ellen is an orthodontic assistant. She is dedicated to her patients, and making them feel welcome. Each patient Ellen treats is like family to her. She gives her patients the same respect, attention, and care that she would her own family and friends. She appreciates the fun, friendly atmosphere at the practice; it is accommodating and comfortable, and she knows her patients will have a good time.

Ellen is married, and she and her husband, Jason, have three children - Kellianne, John, and Olivia. She loves spending time with her family, and having the occasional date night with her husband.

Carrie - Assistant

Carrie is one of our upbeat, outgoing assistants. She can be found in our clinical area, working side by side with our doctors to provide excellent patient care.  She enjoys chatting with our patients and catching up with all their fun family, school, or work activities. Carrie is excited to be part of this great team and looks forward to helping her patients achieve the beautiful smiles they've always wanted.

Carrie has an adorable cat named Meow Meow. In her free time, she enjoys running, tanning, and relaxing with a good book.

Brittany - Front Desk

You will recognize Brittany's friendly voice over the phone as she assists you with scheduling appointments, answering all of your questions, and making sure that you're well taken care of. She enjoys making a difference one smile at a time, as well as being a part of the wonderful family atmosphere that our office has created.

Brittany has a dog named Santana. When she's not in the office, she likes to go shopping and to the beach, walking her dog, and water activities. She also loves cars!

Pam - Assistant

Pam enjoys working with our doctors as an assistant to make our patients feel as welcome and comfortable as possible. Her favorite thing about working in orthodontics is being able to see the transformations that our patients experience. Pam loves to see our patients leave the office happy with the care they've received and excited to show off their smiles.

Pam is married to Greg and her children are Cruz, Cassidy, Brady, Mykaila, and Justin. She likes spending time with her family and going to the beach, working out, and hopes to one day buy an RV to travel with her husband.

Shelby - Orthodontic Assistant

Shelby is one of our friendly orthodontic assistants. She works alongside Dr. Abdoney during patient care and helps to make each person as comfortable and fun as possible. She especially likes our new rewards card program that lets patients earn great prizes for keeping appointments and having good hygiene.

At home, Shelby has a dog named Tanner. She likes to go to the beach and the lake where she enjoys wakeboarding. She also likes doing crafts and can be found skydiving because she thinks it is relaxing!

Valerie - Insurance Coordinator

Valerie works at our front desk and is our insurance coordinator. If our patients have any questions regarding their insurance benefits, Valerie is the one to ask! She really likes that our office is friendly and everyone on our team is happy and ready to help make our patients smile.

Valerie's husband's name is Gabriel. She enjoys working out, spending time with family, photography, and playing and watching sports.
